Shin was born and raised in Hakone, one of the top destinations in Japan for travellers around the world. He had spent 6 years in France and 5 years in America in his youth. After he had graduated from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, he started his career as a business strategist at AEON ©., LTD, an 8 trillion-yen leading retail company. He decided to return to his hometown when he became 30 years old and started “Explore Hakone” to further introduce its authentic beauty of nature, rich culture and history of Japan to international travellers. Explore Hakone is now expanding to provide unique tours not only in Hakone itself but in the surrounding areas and offers its customers a “once in a lifetime experience.”
